Just who IS The Hyperion Adventure Podcast Team?
Meet: Tom and Michelle
Having spent our lives near the Disney Parks on both coasts, we’ve grown up as avid fans of all things involving the House of Mouse! We’re regular visitors to and Annual Passholders for both Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort; Platinum level Castaway Club members (working our way to Pearl) on Disney Cruise Line; veterans of multiple races on both coasts with runDisney; Disney Vacation Club members and Gold Members of Disney’s Official Fan Club – D23.
We have a son, Scott who has Down Syndrome. He’s taught us how to appreciate life in a whole new way. Indeed, this has helped us to learn how to navigate Disney’s services for individuals with disabilities (DAS). We’re definitely not vegan, but we appreciate sampling some Disney Parks’ plant-based options for some healthier vacation eating, occasionally! Still, we enjoy those nostalgic faves like corndogs as well as Festival treats! Speaking of festivals, we love ’em all…but our top pick is EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts. A real gem! Additionally, traveling is another hobby we adore. Fortunately, we’ve been able to visit many places in the world, sometimes as part of a Disney Cruise. So, it’s really a treat when we can mix travel WITH a Disney vacation. Obviously, we simply can’t seem to avoid all the many ways Disney provides fun!
How did we come up with the idea?
Our family and friends have always appreciated our help with ideas and tips for Disney vacation plans. However, our constant talk about all things Disney (AND Star Wars AND Marvel…) sometimes became a bit much (hehe)! Tom was working in the radio industry and podcasts were becoming increasingly popular. So, he came up with the idea that it would be a great way to put our passion and talents to good use! PLUS it gave our friends and family a break!
Now, we’re ready to share our experience with you!
Join us for each episode as we discuss and review the latest Disney topics of the week. That could include updates about what’s going on at the Disney Theme Parks around the world, new adventures on the High Seas with Disney Cruise line; or discussions about films and shows from Disney Studios, Disney Animation, Disney/Pixar, Lucasfilm/Star Wars, or the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We’ll share these with you in a fun, positive perspective. We realize not everything at Disney is perfect, but there are still so many aspects of Disney experiences that bring joy.
We know that life gives us all twists and turns; so we like to focus on the positive and hopefully, bring more smiles.
